Marsden State High School's Basketball Excellence Program is dedicated to providing their athletes with the best of the best. From our highly qualified Coaches to our world class facilities, Marsden State High School is set to be the best powerhouse Basketball program in the state. We provide our athletes with the right platform to discover who they are, why they play the game and how the game of basketball can be a vehicle for success in whatever they choose to pursue when they leave Marsden.

We believe in providing opportunities for students to grow, change, make mistakes and learn from their behaviours. We thrive in teaching students to know themselves, understand their “WHY" and cultivate their love for the game and for themselves, into creating the type of player/person they want to be.
We pride ourselves in providing relative experiences, education and learning opportunities within the realm of basketball, no matter their skill level. Our focus is centred around developing the whole athlete, with a strong focus toward establishing and maintaining a sustainable strength and conditioning base, regular skill breakdowns and working toward increasing basketball IQ. Every lesson aims to push student's outside their comfort zone, both mentally and physically to enable them to make better decisions while in pressure situations – when it really counts!
Our program incorporates basketball into a student's weekly timetable with both practical and theory sessions, allowing students to focus both on their academic success and basketball potential. All Students will have the opportunity to compete in the following competitions:

Pride: We focus on developing respect for self, team and the school community. As part of giving back to the community, we schedule in service projects each semester, as a way for our Athletes to show their gratitude for what they have by giving service to others within our Logan area.
