Year 7 and 8 2025 BYOD iPad Program
New students entering Year 7 and Year 8 at Marsden State High School in 2025 are required to participate in our schools BYOD iPad Program. All students must bring a compatible Apple iPad paired with a keyboard case, active stylus and a screen protector as their primary learning device.
iPad Program - Device requirements
A mandatory requirement for BYOD is the device must support dual band 5ghz wireless networking in order to successfully connect to the school wireless network. Other terminology used to identify dual band wireless capable devices includes: 802.11ac, and WiFi 6 (or better). The device must be Wifi enabled only
Devices should have a battery capacity to last 8 hours or more (a full school day).
Supported Devices
To participate in the MSHS iPad Program the minimum requirement is that the device specifications are:
- Apple iPad running iOS/iPadOS version 15.0 or later
- iOS with active stylus capability
- 10.2 inch screen
- Wifi only

The following devices are unsupported for the iPad program as they are not compatible or will not be compatible will accessories/applications:
