Marsden State High School has a commitment to
students from the local area.
The Department of Education (DoE) is responsible for providing facilities to meet the educational needs of students residing within a school's catchment area.
An EMP (Enrolment Management Plan) is introduced in a state school which is nearing its student enrolment capacity. In order to ensure sufficient facilities are available for in-catchment students, principals of these schools are required to restrict the enrolments from out-of-catchment students.
To be
eligible, parents must demonstrate the child to be enrolled lives in the
defined local catchment map area by providing proof of local residency.

Proof of local residence
For all local catchment enrolment applications, the
school requires the provision of sufficient documentary evidence to demonstrate
that students seeking to enrol genuinely reside in the catchment. The required
documentation will differ depending on whether you are a property owner or a
lease holder.
