Learning Support
The Student Support Centre offers a range of Learning Support services. For teachers and parents, we provide consultative sessions, modification in-services, and detailed information on students’ learning needs. For students, the SSC offers the following services:
  • Case Management and Support Plans (modified programs of study and assessment for appraised and ascertained students)
  • In-Class Support for students with identified need
  • Reader/Writer Service for tests
  • Reading Workshop (corrective literacy programs for Year 8s)
  • Numeracy Programs
  • Innovative Programs (including the Blue Room Program and the ACE gifted and talented program)
  • Educational Assessments
  • Peer Tutoring
  • Breakfast Program
  • Lunch Programs for tutorial assistance
  • Year 7-8 Transition Program.
In 2004, Learning Support staff commenced a Study Centre as a hub for Learning Support services in the school and this will continue to be developed throughout this year.
