Fight flu - don't spread it around!
Influenza is highly contagious and can be spread one day before symptoms appear and for five days afterwards. Some people can be infected with the flu virus but have no symptoms. They can still spread the virus to others. Here are some ways to avoid sharing flu around:
- Don't return to work/ school early, you could still be contagious
- Wash your hands regularly
- Cover your mouth when coughing
- Avoid physical contact with others
- Avoid social gatherings while contagious
